The rationale of the Research Policy is to formulate a vibrant atmosphere of research among faculty and infuse expertise in research among the students. This policy intends to highlight areas of research supplementing the vision and mission of the college emphasizing contribution towards society. Research Policy focuses on the research ethics and provides guidelines for the Research forum. The execution of the research policy is by the Principal of the college. There shall be a Research Advisory Board headed by the Principal to support and advise in matters related to research activities of the college.

When conducting research in the academic setting, our institution shall adhere to Intellectual Property Rights. All research works conducted by faculty as well as students of SNMTC shall strictly adhere to IPR clauses
The institution shall make provisions to adjust the time table during working days for existing faculty members to support their research pursuits.
For attending coursework as part of full-time research, leaves as per university norms will be granted. Provision will be provided for the faculty to undertake research work, and data collection by making adjustments in the time table based on sanction from management without affecting the teaching-learning process of the college. As a token of appreciation for the completion of their Ph.D. and paper publication in journals under the UGC care list, faculty members are felicitated in the staff council and awarded to encourage them to pursue research.
Institutional assistance shall be provided to attend various professional development events based on decisions of the research forum. The institution will provide financial support by contributing towards registration fees for participation in workshops, seminars, conferences to keep them updated on recent trends in educational research
The institution shall adhere to ethical guidelines in all research activities, ensuring the well-being and rights of participants. With a view to check plagiarism, the college shall follow the UGC Notification ‘Promotion of academic integrity and prevention of plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions and Regulations 2018'.
